AWG Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program has been paused most of 2025
and, with some modifications, we are ready to
reimplement.
Our goal to streamline the process will hopefully make it
easier for those seeking mentoring opportunities. Also,
for those willing to offer their time and talent to be a
mentor, it is streamlined for you as well.
We have selected January 19, 2026 as the date to go live
with the Mentoring program.
The process is designed as follows:
January 19 or after, the Mentee will click on the
Mentor button on the home page of the AWG
website.

The Mentee will choose the topic or sub category
and/ or complete the description of what they would
like assistance with.

The request will be sent to me. I will contact the
individual and clarify if needed, so it is clear what the
objective is.
Once I have the clear objective, I will send that
information to the Mentor or group of Mentors that
volunteered to assist for that topic(s).
As before, the Mentors will be asked to “reply all”
within the group for obvious reasons.
That reply will come back to me. In the likelihood
that there is no Mentor response to the request, I will
be able to intervene. 
Otherwise, the Mentor that does respond will be
given the name and contact info for the Mentee and
the handoff will be given.

Instructions for Mentors

For those willing to offer their time and talent to be a
Mentor, we are asking that you make your
selection(s) for categories you wish to mentor by
January 16, 2026. Once we have you the Mentors in
place, we can go live January 19, 2026 with the
Mentor button on the AWG website home page for
the AWG membership. Please review the Mentoring
categories when you click on the link below. Choose
those categories or sub-categories you would like to
Mentor, enter the required information and submit.

Please note, if we do not have a Mentor sign up for
a particular category, we will need to remove that
category from the list of offerings.
When submitting your selection, if you prefer to use
a different email for this process, please indicate
this.
