Toy Group
We build Toys, Thousands of Toys! The Toy Group meets every Tuesday, January through mid-November, 9:00am to 2:00pm to build toys that are donated to Children's Hospital of Alabama and Greater Birmingham Ministries, as well as other hospitals and ministries with children in need.
Hand Tool Group
Learn to work with wood using only hand tools every Thursday afternoon, 2:00pm until 6:00pm. Study the proper use of planes, winding sticks, chisels, sharpening tools, etc.
Luthier Group
Learn the art of building stringed instruments. Monday Nights from 3-9pm.
Wood Art Group
During the weekly meetings, Wood Art Group members work on their own projects. Some members do wood turning, while others cut designs on the scroll saw, wood burn, carve, etc. If you want to learn any of these techniques, come and join us and we will show you how it's done. We meet Fridays from 10:00am to 2::00pm.
Habitat for Humanity
Annually we build kitchen and bathroom cabinets for a Habitat for Humanity home. Join the fun and learn the ins and outs of cabinet construction, finishing, and installation. Sign up for the Habitat for Humanity Cabinet Build class on our Education page.
